Dr. Marek Miłosz, Dr. Małgorzata Plechawska-Wójcik and Magdalena Borys from Lublin University of Technology (LUT), Lublin, Poland have conducted seminars in Karaganda State Technical University (KSTU), Karaganda, Kazakhstan from 22 to 26 April, 2013.
The subjects of seminars were the following:
- Model Driving Engineering and WebML (10 hours) done by Dr. Marek Miłosz
- WebML in practice. Using the WebRatio (10 hours) done by Dr. Małgorzata Plechawska-Wójcik
- Design Patterns in Web Applications (10 hours) done by Magdalena Borys
Number of students successfully completed all courses were 13.
All seminars were provided in English with translation into Russian (made by Dr. M.Miłosz) and additional material in English (slides and lab instructions) due to general different English language skills of students. Some of students spoke English quite well. Those students were used as interpreters during the practical exercises (labs).
Number of students was quite stable during all three seminars. Organization of seminars, made by KSTU staff, was excellent.
The meetings with staff involved into TEMPUS ERAMIS project have took place, as well as with the Dean of Computer Science Faculty. The possibility of students exchange was discussed.
The general agreement between Lublin University of Technology, Lublin, Poland and KSTU was discussed and agreed by KSTU. The agreement has been signed by KSTU authority in the form proposed by LUT. The agreement includes paragraphs about possibility of organization double diploma programmes.
