Project Objective:

To increase the competitiveness of education at the Lublin University of Technology through the implementation of the Integrated University Development Programme aimed at people participating in higher education, LUT staff and students as a response to global trends and requirements of the regional labour market and socio-economic environment until 30.04.2023.

 

Activities implemented under the project:

  1. Adaptation of the curriculum of engineering studies in the field of Computer Science to global trends and requirements of the regional labour market
  2. Adaptation of the curriculum of studies in Marketing and Market Communication (MAMC) to the requirements of the regional labour market
  3. Module of traineeship programmes for first degree students of the Management Faculty and first and second degree students of the Construction and Architecture Faculty
  4. Competent LUT staff – increasing teaching, management and administrative skills
  5. A modern security management system at the Lublin University of Technology

 

The Institute of Computer Science is one of the implementers of Action 1 – Adaptation of the curriculum of engineering studies in the field of Computer Science to global trends and requirements of the regional labour market. This action includes:

  • Analysis of current programs of education of computer scientists at the first degree in Poland, EU and the world.
  • Analysis of current trends and forecasts for the development of information technologies.
  • Meetings with employers with surveying the area: Computer Engineering (CE).
  • Meeting with employers with questionnaire survey area: Industrial Inf. Systems (IIS).
  • Meetings with employers with survey area: Information Technology (IT).
  • Meetings with employers with questionnaire area: Software Engineering (SE).
  • Developing new curricula (4 specialisations).
  • Development of new study grid for Computer Science I bachelor’s degree containing common part (canon of computer science and sciences) and specialisation subjects for specialties: CE, IT, IIS and SE.
  • Development of new syllabuses for 102 subjects.
  • Development of laboratory materials for 102 subjects.
  • Development of lecture materials for 102 subjects.
  • Organisation and equipment of new specialist laboratories – Internet of Things (IoT).
  • Organisation of new specialist laboratories – Software virtualisation techniques.
  • Organisation of new specialist laboratories – Virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR).
  • Organisation of new specialist laboratories – Intelligent data processing systems (BigData).
  • Organisation of new specialised laboratories – Data security and recovery techniques.
