Its editors are Dr Aziz Mullaev from the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan and Dr Mariusz Dzieńkowski from the Department of Computer Science. The monograph is the result of a 2023 conference organised by the Department of Computer Science and contains 26 articles on 270 pages.
Seventy-nine papers were submitted to the conference, 46 of them by foreign scholars representing China, Spain, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The remaining papers were submitted by scientists representing Lublin University of Technology, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Hieronim Łopaciński Voivodeship Public Library in Lublin, and Grodzka Gate NN Theatre Centre in Lublin.
All abstracts of the presentations were published in the Book of Abstracts, published by Polish Information Processing Society, Lublin Branch, eds.: M. Plechawska-Wójcik, K. Rybak, G. Kozieł, ISBN 978-83-936692-7-1 (https://cs.pollub.pl/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/book_of_abstracts.pdf). The presentations represented 139 co-authors. The conference covered a wide range of computer technology applications: generating 3D digital twins of various cultural heritage objects, machine translation, methods for automating sign language creation using digital avatars, techniques for assessing the quality of designed interfaces, digital history and art history, as well as methods for making cultural heritage objects accessible to people with disabilities, digitising old prints and manuscripts from library resources, methods for analysing data sets, and the use of artificial intelligence.
Direct conversations between the authors (24 participants from abroad and over 45 from Poland attended) and discussions during individual presentations suggest that contacts have been established that will contribute to deepening existing collaboration and initiating new, fruitful initiatives.
