Visit of Prof. Sergio Luján-Mora within the “Visiting Professors in Lublin” Programme (May 11–17, 2026)
From 11 to 17 May 2026, Prof. Sergio Luján-Mora of the University of Alicante (Spain) visited Lublin as part of the “Visiting Professors in Lublin” programme (agreement no. 7/SOI/26).
The aim of the visit was to develop academic cooperation, exchange research experience, and carry out joint teaching and expert activities in the area of accessibility and usability of IT systems.
The visit programme included in particular:
May 12 – Meeting with the staff of the Department of Computer Science
The meeting was devoted to the exchange of research experience and concepts, as well as to the planning of joint academic activities. It was opened by the management of the Department of Computer Science.

May 13 – Workshops with students
(Evaluation of the accessibility and usability of the Lublin city website and other websites, and development of conclusions and recommendations for their improvement)
Students took part in workshops on the assessment of website accessibility and usability, including the City of Lublin’s website. The result of this work is a report containing conclusions and recommendations, which was submitted to the authorities of the City of Lublin as a form of expert audit.
The activity had both an academic and a practical dimension, supporting the development of the quality of digital services in public administration.

May 14 – Open lecture and discussion panel
titled “Accessibility and Usability of IT Systems as a Condition for the Success of Digital Transformation”
The central point of the visit was an open popular science event addressed to the residents of Lublin. It featured a lecture and a panel discussion with the participation of representatives of public administration, business, and academia, including university staff and students, as well as secondary school pupils.

May 15 – Research session with the scientific team
The meeting with the research team was devoted to the analysis of the results collected during the workshops with students, and to drawing up plans for further cooperation, including the preparation of joint scientific publications.
Time and place: CI 505B, 10:00–16:00
The visit constitutes an important element of the internationalisation of the Faculty’s scientific activities and strengthens cooperation between the university, public administration, and the IT sector.
