On September 17, 2026, the Lab3D team from the Department of Computer Science (comprising Prof. Jerzy Montusiewicz and Marek Miłosz) carried out a 3D scan of the 14th-century Church of St. Margaret in Chybice, located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. Built before 1362 (the presumed date of consecration) and modeled after the collegiate church in Wiślica, the Gothic structure was later expanded in 1617. Both dates appear on the church porch doorway. It is one of the region’s oldest churches, situated along the route from Opatów to Bodzentyn. The church features distinctive architecture: an octagonal pillar stands in the center of the main nave, supporting a “palm-style” ribbed vault that radiates outward to the side walls.

During the project, the team acquired 25 scans of the church interior (9.4 GB of data) and over 580 high-resolution photographs (6.9 GB of data).
Once the necessary digital processing is complete, the results will be handed over to the parish for further use and published on the portal at https://polskiedziedzictwo3d.pl/.
