Study visit to the USN in Kongsberg

On April 24-27, 2023, a study visit of five research and teaching staff of the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Lublin University of Technology (PL) at the University of South-Eastern Norway in Norway, at the Kongsberg campus took place. During the meetings, the university in Norway, its authorities and the way it is managed were presented. The Faculty of Technology, Natural Sciences and Maritime Sciences and the Department of the Department of Science and Industry systems were presented. The quality system of education at USN, didactic classes, scientific studies and cooperation with industry were discussed. Students presented didactic projects carried out under the supervision of academic teachers from the university and in cooperation with the local industry. The research projects being created within the scientific groups were discussed. During the visit, PL employees had the opportunity to get acquainted with highly specialized didactic and research laboratories.
Employees of PL presented didactics and scientific studies at the University. On the basis of the exchange of experiences, common directions of cooperation and scientific research were defined.

The visit allowed for the exchange of experiences of two universities USN and PL. The acquired experience will allow to increase the competences of the scientific and didactic staff of the Lublin University of Technology.
